1st Grade Teacher
I graduated from Nashville High School in May of 1980.
I then accepted a job offer at First National Bank as a Switchboard Operator and Payroll Manager. During my 13 year stint as a bank employee, I worked as a teller, a bookkeeper, a proof operator, and in the loan department. I enjoyed my time there but knew in heart that this was not where I wanted to spend the rest of my life. I always had a passion for children. I wanted to work with them, to help them learn, to teach them all about life. I decided to go back to school and learn more myself and pursue a degree in education. I attended Henderson State University and earned a BSE in December of 1999. I began my career as a First Grade Teacher for the Nashville Public School District in August of 2000. While working during the day, I attended classes at night to obtain a MSE degree. I graduated from Henderson State University in Arkadelphia in August of 2008 for the second time with a MSE degree. I am a certified reading specialist for grades K-12 and also obtain a degree in Social Studies 5-8 and Business grades 5-8.
I have just begun my 14th year as a First Grade Teacher and I have enjoyed every second of it. It has been very rewarding as I watch the faces of these young students brighten up as they learn to read. I have truly been blessed.

Doing What Works
I began teaching at Nashville Primary School in January of 2000.
I am currently teaching 1st grade.
I am married to David Goss and together we have 4 children. We have 5 Grandchildren who mean the whole world to us. I spend all of my free time with them. We also have 5 fur babies at home to keep us company when the kids aren't with us.They are great snuggle buddies too. In fact, they have been with us longer than the grands and I do believe they get a little jealous when the grands are staying a while. I have been known to put a fur baby or 2 in time out for showing out when the grands are crawling or running about but never have I had to put my grandbabies in time out. They are such sweet children. I enjoy every minute I have with them. We are making lots of memories.
I enjoy spending time with my family.
