Educational History:
I graduated from High School in 1991 from Arkadelphia, AR. I then attended college at Henderson State University and received my BSE in 1997. I then graduated in 1999 with a MSE. When I finished my MSE I started my first teaching job at the Achievement Center working with Junior High and Senior High students for one year. Finally I started teaching at Nashville Primary School teaching third grade, where I've been for 16 years.
Degrees and Certifications:
- I have a BSE and MSE from Henserson State University.
- My certifications are in Early Childhood - 6th grade.
- My MSE is in the field of Early Childhood Special Education.
Professional Development:
- I received the "Who's Who in American College and Universities".
- I received the "Who's Who in America's Colleges and Universities"
- I've attended the Teacher Institute.
- I have an endorsement with the 419 Endorsement, which is an endorsement to teach business skills to elementary age students.
Current Position:
- I started teaching at the Achievement Center in 1998 for one year.
- I started teaching at Nashville Primary School in 1999 and have taught in this school for 16 years.
Family Information:
- I've been married for 19 years to Kim Newton
- I have two children: Caleb (15) and Ashlyn (12)
- I have two pets: Jasper the dog and Maizy the cat
Personal Information:
- I have many hobbies...music, computers, guitar, traveling, church activities, and of course spending time with my family.
- If I'm not teaching I prefer to be traveling to new places and learning about our nation's history. I especially like going to National Parks around the country.
