2nd Grade Teacher
I graduated from Nashville Highschool in 1975. I attendended Henderson State University for 2 years. I married and started a family. I went back to attain my BSE in Conway,Arkansas at the University of Central Arkansas. In 1987 my family moved back to my home town and moved to my family's farm. I began working at NPS them and still work there today. This will be my 26th year at NPS.the
I recieve my BSE at the University of Central Arkansas.
I recieved my MSE at the University of Southern Arkansas.
Over the years I have taken all the workshops at our DMEC that have been available for all of the changes that were taking place in our states curriculum guide. I have gone to conferences for children with new learning challenges to help these children. I have taken workshops to help me learn how to keep childrens attention.
I got remarried to Bob McAlister this past June. We literally had a garden wedding. We were married in front of our tomatoes. So, now you know what we enjoy. We have been together for 4 years. Both of have been married before and together we have 5 children and 2 grandchildren and 1 big granddog. Bob has a second grader at the Nashville Primary. He has a son in eighth grade at the NJS. I have a 34 year old son living in Charllotte,North Carolina and a 30 year old daughter living in Charleston, Arkansas. My grandaughter is in 5th grade and my grandson is 3. Together we have 5 OUTSIDE cats and 5 OUTSIDE dogs. I moved to Bob's house and let go a lot of my personal things, so we do not have to disturb things boys are used to. We are very Happy, Happy, Happy!!!!
My hobbies are watching boys play sports and my granddaughter play softball. I enjoy playing with my 3 year old grandson use his imagination. Bob and I love planting, gardening and planting flower gardens. We learn new things all of the time. We are involoved with our church and church families. We have very large families together now and we love all!!!
When I am not teaching, I am cleaning, planting, swimming, or visiting family members.
